The bots aren't there to help readers find a good book, though. Instead, they're part of an art installation. The robotic characters are programmed to interact with visitors. They play soothing sounds, perform a dance, and patrons can even pet their fur. The creators of the installation made the bots to provide a bit of fun for library guests.
