Dear Lincoln, When someone important to us dies, grief is a natural reaction. Grief includes hard feelings, thoughts, and changes. Try sharing your feelings and memories with someone you trust. We can also stay connected with people in different ways after they pass away. You could look at pictures or mementos, do things you used to do together, or make something about your grandpa, like art, food, a story—anything! You can find books at the library or resources online to learn more about grief. Grief can feel lonely, but know that you're not alone!
