The fungus looks like regular mushrooms above ground. But underneath, it's a different story! A Salty Fun Park Turda Salt Mine in Romania is an underground getaway for all things fun! Once an ancient salt mine, it is now a tourist attraction. Visitors can walk or take an elevator down 36 storeys to visit a small amusement park. It has a mini- golf course, bowling lanes, table tennis, boat rides, and the world's only underground Ferris wheel. There's also a 180-seat theatre for movies and shows. Humongous Fungus A fungus in Malheur National Forest in Oregon, US, is the largest living thing in the world. Above ground, the fungus looks like regular mushrooms. But under the soil, the fungus grows as a giant tangled web of threads called mycelium (my-SEE-lee-um). The mycelium is the size of 1,665 football fields! The fungus feeds on the roots of trees, which is why it's been able to grow so big in its forest home. Turda Salt Mine welcomes over 600,000 visitors per year. 10 Chickadee
