When a new school was being built in Madagascar last summer, the construction site looked a lot different than most. That's because a 3D printer was used to build the structure! The printer poured a cement mixture in a pattern over and over again to create the walls. In just 18 hours, the school was standing. And when the cement dried, a crew came along to finish off the building by installing a roof, door, and windows. The 3D-printed school is only the second of its kind in the world, and it'll be used as a classroom for 30 university students. But the organization that built this one is just getting started. It plans to "print" more schools around the world, especially in countries where kids don't have easy access to education. That's the power of the printer! SCHOOL'S IN! With the help of her dad, a 12-year-old Hungarian kid who loves planes found an architecture company to build her a cabin that's shaped like one. It looks simple from the outside, but inside it's a different story. The cabin has a sitting area, desk, bed, and even restroom. As for getting in and out of the cabin, that's easily done thanks to a handy flight of stairs leading to a door on the back of the plane.
