OWL: Can you describe your role? TRUDI: As the associate art director for the environments, I come up with concepts (ideas) and draw the levels for games. For the game we're working on now, one level is a city. I designed the buildings! O: What is the most exciting project you've worked on? T: I once got to design monsters and creepy environments in a slightly cartoonish way! It was fun adding humour into a scary theme. O: What is the most challenging thing you've been asked to do? T: Developing my skills in environment art. As a kid, I only wanted to design characters. But one day, I just started sketching environments. I had a lot to learn, but I loved it! Trudi's workspace looks like a great place to create! WHO: Trudi Castle WHERE: Red Hook Studios, Vancouver, British Columbia WHAT: Video game concept artists draw the pictures that help create the entire look of a video game, including its characters, tools, vehicles, and more. Trudi specializes in environments, which are the worlds within the game. Since 2020, Eric has been the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and many other Looney Tunes characters.
