When everyone saw Laddu and
Diya, they cheered. Diya's golden
glow made Laddu shine beautifully,
and Laddu's sweet smell made
Diya's light feel warmer. Together,
they were perfect!
Laddu and Diya
looked at each other.
"We do make a great team," said
Diya. "I'm sorry I said that I'm the
best part of Diwali."
"I'm sorry, too," agreed Laddu.
"We are both important. We
belong together."
From that day on, Laddu and
Diya never forgot that Diwali was
about sharing light and sweetness,
and bringing joy. Together, they
worked hard to make sure the
town of Rajapur glowed bright—
just like their friendship.

This story was inspired by the author's love of Diwali.
During Diwali, diyas are lit to chase away the darkness, and
sweet treats like laddu are shared to spread happiness.
